Balochistan: Thirteen abducted by military, one killed and one released

According to reports, on 20 June 2017, Pakistan army and Intelligence agencies started a military operation in Jiwani district Gwadar, Balochistan, and abducted a businessman Azhar Kalmati, a fisherman Nakhuda Izzat Kalmati and his son Navid Kalmati.

From Dera Bugti, Security forces abducted Dildar Bugti, Mochi Bugti and Ameen Bugti, residents of district Dera Bugti, Balochistan.

On 19 June 2017, Pakistani security forces started a military operation in Gomazi area of Tump district Kech, Balochistan, women and children have been extremely tortured. After looting all the valuables, security forces abducted Ghaffar Mola Bakhsh, Majid Rasheed, Thawab Master Qayum, Adnan Hasil, Jehan Naseer and previously killed Basit’s father Jan Mohammad.

 

Basit was the nephew of Ghulam Nabi, Vice President of the Baloch National Movement.

Basit and his cousin Ahmed Majeed, residents of Gomazi district Kech, Balochistan were abducted from Kapa Balochi by armed militants on 03 March 2017, and few days later their bullet riddled body were found dumped in Magas area.

Separately, in Chitkan district Panjgur, Balochistan, death squad militants opened fire and killed Yar Jan Jangi Khan resident of Mashkay district Balochistan, death squads are known to be pro-government armed militias targeting Baloch nationalists, according to Baloch nationalists.

On the other hand Pakistan security forces raided a house around 23:00 in Turbat city near Noor mosque.

During the raid, security forces have beaten up the women and children of the house and abducted Arif s/o Dr Sabir.

The abductees have been shifted to unknown location and their whereabouts are still unknown to their families.

Previously abducted Zakir Hakim resident of Nali, Hoshab, Balgatar district Kech, Balochistan has been released from Hoshab army camp.
