Habibullah a young footballer, resident of Ward no: 6 area of Pasni district Gwadar was abducted when his family and relatives were busy in preparations for his wedding. On 8th of April 2014, Frontier Corps and Intelligence agencies raided his house and took him away.

Security forces claimed he was a militant who was killed during a gun battle between ‘terrorists’ and the security forces.

Habibullah is not the only one killed in fake encounters. There is a long list. Even in April 2017, five previously Enforced Disappeared persons were killed in a fake encounter just one day before Habibullah was killed. On 10th of April Washdil Faqir, resident of Panjgur Balochistan was found dead who was forcefully disappeared by security forces on 20 March 2017 and a 76 years old father, Bahot was shot dead, when he tried to save his son from abduction, by security forces.

Forcefully disappearing the civilians, not producing them in any court and killing them in fake encounters are raising fears in family members of the missing persons of Balochistan.

This situation is pushing the civilians towards violent self protection.
