Balochistan: Five abducted by Pakistan Military, two released

According to reports, on 18 May 2017, Pakistani security forces stormed into the farmlands in Gomazi (Gómázi) village of Tehsil Tump district Kech, Mekran (Makkurán) Balochistan.

Imran Abdul Rahman, Naseer Mola Bakhsh, Muhri Walid and Tariq Ahmed were abducted by the security forces from their fields where they were engaged in farming. Crops were burnt by the security forces, the locals complained.

More than 60% of Tump residents are farmers and agriculture is their mean of subsistence.

Meraj Mustafa Baloch

On 21 April 2017, Pakistani security forces raided residential quarters in Gwadar and abducted Meraj Mustafa Baloch. Meraj Mustafa is a shopkeeper and the sole bread earner of his family, a resident of Kahn Posht, Koshkalat, district Kech, Balochistan.

Yasir Bahram – after release

Waheed Khan Mohammad, a shopkeeper, who was abducted on 18 May 2017, from his shop in Gayab, Mand, has been released a day later, on 19 May, from the camp of Frontier Corps situated in Soro village of Mand district Kech.

Yasir Bahram, who was abducted on 28 October 2016, from Sahaki village of Balgatar district Kech, Balochistan and was forcibly disappeared by security forces since then, has been released on 19 May 2017.
