Balochistan: 43 more abducted and forcibly disappeared by military

The renewed wave of enforced disappearances took many more in Balochistan. Most of the cases go unnoticed, as the government does not allow any media and human rights organizations to visit and investigate the situation.

China-Pakistan projects opposed by nationalists are a reason of gross violation of human rights in the region.

In addition to the 25 already reported abductions, we have received information of another 35 Baloch youth being forcibly disappeared from various parts of Balochistan this month.

As per details received, four persons, Aslam s/o bahadur, Saeet s/o Essa, Jamil s/o Muhib Ullah and 8 years old Hatum s/o Master Nazeer are abducted during military operation in Gwarkop area district Kech on 20 January 2018. Hatum was released after two days but Aslam, Saeet and Jamil remain missing.

Muslim s/o Ababakr

On the same day Saddam s/o Nizar Mohammed resident of Nizarabad village and Muslim s/o Ababakr resident of Buleda were abducted from their houses during military raids.

Three persons abducted from district Kech in various raids on 20 January 2018. Abductees are Salman s/o Master Bashir resident of Gomazi village of tehsil Tump, Allah Dad s/o Essa resident of Jamak village and Huda Dad resident of Gwarkop village of Pidark district Kech.

Asumi s/o Taj Mohammad was abducted from Duraski in district Awaran on 19 January 2018.

On 18 January, the security forces abducted two shopkeepers Pughri s/o Lal Bugti and Rahmatullah s/o Sultan from Dera Bugti district. On the same day Ghafoor s/o Abdul Latif was abducted from his home town of Jiwani in district Gwadar.

Shabir Ahmed, the cleric of Zikri religious sect was abducted and disappeared during a raid by military in Kallar area of Mashkay district Awaran on 14 January 2018 and was later released on 21 January.

Three persons, Asad s/o Allahdad, Sher Dil s/o Nokap and Bahar s/o Nokap, were forcibly disappeared on 13 January 2018.

There are reports that security forces have abducted fourteen persons from Nag village of Zamoran, district Kech on 12 January 2018. Only four of them are identified yet because of weak communication network in the area. Those identified are, Waheed s/o Mubarak, Zahid s/o Haji Sher Jan, Iltaf s/o Haji Sher Jan and Noor Jan s/o Lal Bakhsh.

On 10 January 2018, Mia Dad s/o Pir Bakhsh, a resident of Zehri Goth, district Hub was forcibly disappeared from his home. On the same day Noorudin s/o Elahi Bakhsh, Faisal s/o Elahi Baksh and Sakhi dad s/o Elahi Bakhsh were abducted by the forces from their residence in Uthal and Mohammed Alim s/o Nabi Bakhsh was abducted from Gonko Kailkore district Kech during military raids in district Uthal and Kech respectively.

Salim s/o Bor Jan was abducted and forcibly disappeared from his house during a raid by the security forces from the coastal town of Kulanch Pasni, district gwadar on 9 January 2018.

On 7 January, the forces stopped a local transport vehicle and forcibly disappeared Haji Mohammad Rahim who was travelling back from Turbat to Balicha area of tehsil Tump, district Kech.

On 4 January 2018, the security forces raided the village of Pirandar in district Awaran and whisked away Hussain Bakhsh s/o Swali and Azim s/o Mohsin and later both were released by the forces.

On 3 January 2018, another three persons were forcibly disappeared from Gichk Kalri, district Panjgur in a raid conducted by the security forces. The victims, Dr. Gul Mohammed s/o Wali Mohammed, Mohammed Aslam s/o Dost Mohammed and Hanif s/o Abdullah are residents of district Panjgur.

Pir Jan s/o Noor Jan and Sulaiman s/o Abbas were abducted from Solo Buleda in district Kech on 1st of January 2018 and both remain disappeared since then.

All of these abductees were moved to secret locations. The families are in complete darkness regarding their whereabouts and well-being.
